Telstra Sydney Event
Creating Reflective Leaders - a FITT Senior Leadership event
proudly hosted and sponsored by Telstra, Tuesday 28th July 2009
Speaker: Paul Geason, Telstra's new Group Managing Director, Telstra Wholesale, will be joined by a past Telstra Business Women Award Winner (tba) to discuss a personal open account on Creating Reflective Leaders, followed by networking drinks and canapes.
Topic: The challenges of leadership are many and are compounded in an uncertain and difficult economy. Good leaders must be able to develop strategy, execute and build capability. However great leadership creates meaning for an organisation and requires passion, ingenuity, authenticity and courage. Healthy leaders self-analyse and make time for reflection, deal with dissappointment, keep life in balance, play, create and have the capacity to rock the boat.
About Paul Geason:
Paul Geason has just been appointed as the new GMD of Telstra Wholesale after being an Executive Director within the Telstra Enterprise & Government business unit. He joined Telstra Corporation in 1994 and since then he has held various roles from General Counsel, Business and International to Executive Director, Data, IP and Enterprise Services. Paul began his career in the legal field, working as an attorney at Baker & McKenzie Solicitors in Sydney. In 2005, Paul spent a year in Boston, Massachusetts where he served as the Senior Vice President of Global Sales for NetCracker Corporation.
