Ernst & Young Networking Breakfast
Over 80 attendees arrived at Ernst and Young at 7.30am for an insightful presentation by Jen Dalitz, Founder and SheEO Sphinxx. Jen shared many insightful thoughts on Gender Intelligence. With a continued lack of diversity at a senior level and board level in the ASX200 companies, Jen and the attendees discussed the reasons and benefits of change.

Did you know that companies with higher representation of Women report on average 35.1% higher return on equity and 34% higher total return for shareholders! All attendees also received one of Jen's books, "Little Wins for Working Women".

Telstra FITT International Women's Day Lunch in Sydney

377 registered for our
annual Telstra FITT International Women's Day (IWD) Lunch which was held on Tuesday 8 March 2011 from 12:00 - 2:30pm at the five-star Westin Hotel, 1 Martin Place, Sydney. Our generous event sponsors were Telstra and UTS:IT.

We celebrated 100 years since IWD started and how ICT has redefined media for women, starting with a networking session over drinks before sitting down to a delicious 2-course meal with beverages and celebrity guest speakers.

Our MC for the day was noted IT journalist Beverley Head. We had an inspirational panel of women (read their impressive bios):

  • Pip Marlow, new MD of Microsoft Australia
  • Anne Davies, investigative journalist with the Sydney Morning Herald
  • Gloria Farler, Executive Director, Market Intelligence & Customer Analytics, Telstra

The panel looked at the advancements we have made, as well as some of the many areas where women are still either stereotyped or ignored in the media.

There was additional networking during the luncheon and the chance to be in to win a lucky door prize and great raffle prizes.
