Dr Marianne Broadbent, Keynote speaker

An executive advisor, specialist in leadership and commentator on global business and workplace developments, Dr Broadbent is a Senior Partner at the innovative global executive search and leadership assessment firm, EWK International, where she has both regional and global responsibilities. She works with CEOs and other executives on their leadership capabilities and those of their teams.

Before joining EWK International, Dr. Broadbent was global Senior Vice President of New Product Development for Gartner, Inc, and prior to that Associate Dean at Melbourne Business School. Dr. Broadbent has led global businesses for Gartner's CIO Executive Programs and has been Visiting Researcher at Boston University. Dr. Broadbent is co-author of two bestselling books published by Harvard Business School Press, including The New CIO Leader. Her insights have been published and quoted in publications such as The Financial Times and The Economist and she has written columns for major industry magazines.

 

Maggie Alexander, FITT speaker

Maggie runs her own business, M & M Consulting Services, which provides consulting and training in business process improvement, including business planning and teamwork development. She works for large and small organisations including health & financial services, educational and technology-based organisations. Prior to starting her own business, she worked for a multinational computer company in various managerial positions. She also worked for NSW TAFE and the NSW Government in industry development.

She is a foundation member of FITT, current FITT Steering Committee Chair and has been a member of several private sector boards.


 

Andrea Grant, Telstra speaker

Andrea Grant was appointed Telstra's Group Managing Director, Human Resources on 7 October 2005. Andrea joined Telstra from GM Holden where she was Executive Director, Human Resources; a position she held since 2001.  She also served as GM Holden’s first female board member. Before joining GM Holden, Andrea was Human Resources Director of Merck, Sharp & Dohme (New Zealand) Limited.

Andrea began her career in human resources in 1984 with Drake International in Johannesburg, South Africa and has over twenty years of experience in the field. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Education Degree, a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching, and an Affilliate Diploma from the Australian/NZ Insurance and Finance Institute. In addition she is a graduate of the London Business School’s Advanced Development Programme.
