The FITT Steering Committee will handle any personal information collected from you in accordance with its "Use of Membership List guidelines", which appears in the FITT Membership Policy, which may be accessed here on the membership pages or on the AIIA site. In disclosing any information you will generally be asked to acknowledge and agree that:
a. The FITT Steering Committee may use the FITT Membership List to:
(i) register you for this event; and
(ii) to notify you of other events and activities;
(iii) to forward to you information from other organisations or individuals which the FITT Steering Committee considers is likely to be of interest to FITT members or otherwise helps to achieve FITT's objectives;
b. FITT will not disclose your personal information to third parties, except to AIIA (who maintains the FITT Membership List and sends e-mail to FITT members on our behalf) or to service providers for the sole purpose of performing an activity on behalf of FITT or AIIA. In each case FITT/AIIA will use all reasonable efforts to ensure that the recipient handles your personal information with privacy principles consistent with the privacy principles adopted by FITT/AIIA;
c. your name, position, company/organisation and contact details may be included in a list for circulation to attendees at the event.
Your prior consent will be sought for any other proposed disclosure. Note: if you do not wish to receive information of the kind referred to in paragraph (a)(iii) above (i.e. information from other organisations or individuals which the FITT Steering Committee considers is likely to be of interest to FITT members or otherwise helps to achieve FITT’s objectives, please notify AIIA by email at aiia@aiia.com.au or by telephone (02 6281 9444). if AIIA does not receive such notification from you, FITT will assume that you consent to FITT/AIIA sending you such information. |
