Field Engineer (Motorola Solutions)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Information Communication and Technology (ICT) professional who is passionate, collaborative and enjoys continuous learning.

You will be responsible for delivering technical and operational support for customer digital mobile radio communication systems technologies/systems supplied by Motorola Solutions at various radio sites or customer locations.

A radio / telecommunications background would be an advantage, however for the right individual we will offer:

You role will require but not limited to the following:

• Desktop support / administration in a Microsoft windows environment.

• Network support / administration within CISCO / HP / Dell environment.

• Server support / administration in a Microsoft windows environment.

• Installation and configuration of desktop / network / server and storage infrastructure / operating systems and applications.

• Troubleshooting skills in relation to hardware infrastructure, operating systems and application issues.

• Excellent customer service attributes, being able to troubleshoot customer issue over the phone and face to face at customer sites

• Practical knowledge of ITIL Service Management.

• Experience in writing technical processes and procedures.

• Able to travel within the state to resolve incidents and perform planned preventative maintenance activities.

Basic Requirements:

• Able to provide on call support for 1 week in every 3.

• National police check is mandatory.

• Driver’s license is mandatory.

• Tertiary Qualifications in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Software

• Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification that is recognised by Engineers Australia.


• Open Cabler License.

• Networking Certification such as CCNA.

• Microsoft Client / Server Certification.

• Radio / telecommunications background in support of Motorola Solutions products.
